קֶרֶבm. (b. h.; preced.) 1) inside, intestine.Du. קְרָבַיִם, קְרָבַיִים; constr. קִרְבֵּי, קִירְ׳. Num. R. s. 7 (ref. to Num. 14:11 בקרבו) אטר אעשה עמו … בקרבו כמה … עשיתי בקִרְבֵּיהֶןוכ׳ it does not read, ‘which I do with them, but ‘which I do within them: … how many signs and wonders have I done in their intestines (that the manna was entirely resorbed in their bowels) (with ref. to קֶרֶב Lev. 8:21). Tam.IV, 2. Ḥull.16b קירבי דגים entrails of fish. Y.Sabb.II, 4d ק׳ דגים כל זמןוכ׳ the fat of fish entrails (used as oil) has no bad odor as long as it burns. B.
